Updated information has become available. The Ministry of Health for Zanzibar has issued a further letter regarding yellow fever vaccination certificates.

The Ministry of Health for Zanzibar has requested that all local and international tour operators be informed that a valid International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis against yellow fever will have to be shown at points of entry to the country.

Following a measles outbreak on the island of Pemba, an immunisation campaign was implemented on 20 January 2007 in order to control the outbreak.
